Family
Benjamin Franklin may as well be one of the most wise people in the entire world. Though he discovered and created many things, his parents were the ones who gave him the chance to become who he is known today. Without his family, Ben Franklin could not have contributed to the shaping of America.
Father: Josiah Franklin. A candle maker and Anglican, he is the father of 17 children (including Benjamin Franklin).
Stepmother: Anne Child. She married Josiah Franklin and her first kid was born in 1678. Mother to 7 kids, she died after her last child's birth.
Mother: Abiah Folger. She had her first kid in 1690. She gave birth to 10 kids (including Benjamin Franklin). He was the 8th child out of 10.
Step Siblings: Franklin's Step Siblings were Elizabeth, Samuel, Hannah, Josiah Jr., Ann, Joseph, and Joseph II Franklin.
Siblings: Franklin's Siblings were John, Peter, Mary, James, Sarah, Ebenezer, Thomas, Lydia, and Jane Franklin.
Wife: Deborah Read. She was very kind to Franklin, and gave birth to William, Francis Folger, and Sarah Franklin.
Kids: Benjamin's Kids were William (last royal governor of New Jersey and despised his dad), Francis Folger (died in age 4 because of smallpox), and Sarah Franklin ( strong patriot and cared for Father in old age)
Benjamin Franklin loved his kids very much (except William) because in his autobiography, Benjamin talked about how he missed his kids whenever he went abroad. He knew the importance and love and care that they should have, and he regretted he did not spend as much time with them and the rest of his family.
